81: Pillow Comic

October 7, 2011

If there’s one thing ‘Something a week’ readers request more than anything, it’s more webcomics!

Nah, just kidding. I have no idea what you people want, but comics are easy to make, and I’ve been particularly busy the last few weeks. So here’s another drawing of something. I thought of it when I was very tired.

    Inuksuk?

The scary thing is – since they’re able to levitate a pen and open doors without hands, these could just be alien invaders who took over the world, occupied our homes, and decide to sleep on our disembodied heads just because… it feels good?

Yeah. I totally laughed out loud. I’ll admit it…

Love it! My writing/sense of humor tends to be a little dry, and this is right up my alley — I look forward to reading/experiencing more!

Hahaha. This one’s witty. Nice work! :>

LOL!! That’s so ridiculous that it’s hilarious.

    So funny…great work! 🙂

P.S. I love that you call it “The Cool Side”…everyone loves the cool side of the pillow. 😉

    • November 17, 2011 2:57 pm

I know, right? I used to flip mine over to the cool side incessantly trying to fall asleep. Now I just do it whenever I wake up.

  6. November 17, 2011 11:28 am

    Ha, cute!

  7. November 17, 2011 12:03 pm

hahaha.. really funny cool post.. 😀

So glad you were Fresh Pressed! After reading this post, I wandered around the rest of your blog and am a definite fan now (I’m actually bordering on a creeper at this point, to be honest). My undergraduate degree is in Scenic Design (theatre) so your projects (the Pringles can, the Twister bag, the punching glove box, etc.) fill me with creative nostalgia and the rest of your posts (especially the food ones) were a lot of fun to read. …Okay, yeah I’m totally a creeper at this point. Anyway, I’m going to try to sound like a normal person now… uh… looking forward to reading more!

  11. November 17, 2011 1:07 pm

This was like a funny nightmare.

  12. November 17, 2011 1:32 pm

This is what you create when you are busy and they are easy to make?!?! You must seriously be a genius or something- as something this quirky and hilarious would take me forever to create! Ok… try never…lol.

  13. November 17, 2011 1:46 pm

That pillow better back off that person’s head! You can’t fool me, cartoonist! I know that people are the real people.

BTW awesome comic. Very creative and funny.

  14. November 17, 2011 1:46 pm

Ahaha! This was brilliant! Very quirky, and most certainly, ‘outside the box’. You have a very intuitive/creative mind and some mad skills to get these thoughts onto paper/screen with such effect. Love the slouching ‘Hi Dad’ teen pillow! Nice touch, good social commentary!

  15. November 17, 2011 1:58 pm

Can’t wait to see the Pillow Fight episode!

  16. November 17, 2011 1:59 pm

I really like the idea that pillows sleep on people’s heads at night 😀
    You really pulled it through!

  17. November 17, 2011 2:13 pm

    That’s awesome!

  20. November 17, 2011 3:00 pm

Love the checkered pillow on the subway! One in every crowd.

  21. November 17, 2011 3:26 pm

  24. November 17, 2011 4:44 pm

    Sweet art skills!

  25. November 17, 2011 4:47 pm

Ha! My favourite thing about this comic is how you designed the kids. The boy gets his mother’s stripe and his dad’s physique, and the girl gets her mother’s frilly edges and her dad’s vanilla design.

It’s the little details that make it awesome.

  26. November 17, 2011 4:48 pm

    I want what your smoking.

  27. November 17, 2011 4:59 pm

Do pillows also drink martinis, eat happy meals, and watch the 11 o’clock news? Nice that they take public transport instead of driving.

  50. November 18, 2011 8:07 am

    Pretty amazing.

I wonder if they eat bowls of feathers or cotton for breakfast…?

  51. November 18, 2011 10:12 am

    Amazing. a bit scary. lol

  52. November 18, 2011 10:15 am

    • November 18, 2011 3:24 pm

It’s not creeping when it’s a blog. Only when it’s Facebook. Have fun.

Oh the irony. I’ve seen something like this, or at least resembling the idea — it doesn’t take the laughter from it though. Nice idea. I’ll be following your blog to see what else you have up on here.
