26: Felt Marker

September 18, 2010

I started this guy by crocheting a long tube, and I stuffed it with polyfill until it was rigid. After that, it was just a matter of stabbing it hundreds of thousands of times with a felting needle to attach the wool.

Then, I ham-fistedly embroidered it. It’s hard to write with thread.

Here’s an artsy shot.

P.S. Hey gang! We’re halfway through one year of one-of-a-kind, useless stuff. I don’t have any plans to stop. I just thought I’d point it out, because it’s astounding to me that I’ve actually stuck with anything this long. Weeee!

I missed this one somehow…very nice giant Sharpie/Feltie!

Thanks for entertaining us these past 6 months with your musings and your creativity. And,
I believe you will stick with anything as long as it interests and amuses you!!!

This would be even cooler with an actual, usable felt pen inside!

I would say that, if you have time to make a felt pen, then you clearly don’t have enough things to fill your day.

But it’s a moot point, because a felt pun (with punny goodness) is clearly awesome.
